In April 2022, the Apple Podcast UK Foot Chart revealed that The Nightcap Series 4 stormed straight back in at number 11. Subsequently, it has stayed within the Top 50 ever since.
This is the first series under the ownership of Shakespeare Creative, sponsored by Gusbourne – elite level English wine makers.
The Nightcap Podcast – what’s it all about?
If you’ve never listened before, this is one of the most unique podcasts in the UK culinary scene. Each week, a special guest chef is invited to enjoy an 8 course tasting menu and then, after dinner, make their way up the wooden stairs to join Simon Alexander (award winning podcaster, producer and Director at Shakespeare Creative) and Paul Foster (Michelin Starred Head Chef) for a Nightcap at Salt, Paul’s restaurant – a 10 table Michelin Star restaurant in the centre of Stratford Upon Avon.
What does Series 4 have in store?
So far, we’ve had Brummie legend Glynn Purnell – Michelin starred chef and Great British Menu Winner and Judge. Tom Booton – the youngest head chef in the history of The Grill at the Dorchester and The Chef to Watch Winner at the National Restaurant Awards 2021. Ben Foster – Watford & England Goalkeeper, YouTuber and arguably the nation’s most famous amateur cyclist (… and former chef at Cafe Rouge). Elly Wentworth – Head Chef at The Angel in Dartmouth, Masterchef the Professionals finalist and self-proclaimed “potty-mouth.” Lee Westcott – Michelin Starred Chef. With 3 more guests to go, this Series is going from strength to strength, with new feature-length YouTube versions of the podcast, set for release this Summer!
